James Guy, a native of Western Australia, holds qualifications in Policing, Assessments and Workplace Training, and Business Management, besides having recorded innumerable emergency management training course hours of attendance. His lengthy police experience embraced leadership roles in major incident management, crisis intervention, and a broad cross section of senior level inter-departmental activities requiring communications and coordination expertise where successful interoperability between government emergency response services are considered critical. Consequential and very valuable work experience was gained by Jim beyond WA during his police service and since, necessitating operational project and liaison work in various other parts of Australia, Japan [Kobe earthquake], Papua New Guinea, The Philippines, and the USA. Research work has also taken him to Canada, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Thailand, and the United Kingdom.
David Forbes holds a Master's Degree in Security Management, trained as a detective at New Scotland Yard, and was formerly the officer in charge of Thames Valley Police Fraud Squad, UK. He subsequently became the world head of security for a global air and road express package and logistics company, building and developing a security management team covering 140 countries. He later took up the lead executive position with a security risk management analyst and consulting organization in the USA, focused on aviation, logistics and government, working with clients from the private and public sectors, the latter including state and city governments, and the US military. He has been retained as an expert witness on matters of aviation security and is regularly consulted/interviewed by the American network media, [including CNN, FoxNews, MSNBC etc.]. He moved part of his business activity to Western Australia in early 2006, while continuing to maintain American business interests in Colorado, USA.
The Jagwa Forbes team has an extended family of associates and members, from risk and safety practitioners, including a psychologist with an emergency and trauma remedial and response focus, through to industry analysts. We also enjoy mutually respectful relations with key figures domestically and internationally who share with us the abiding belief that we can all - public and private sector players, improve upon yesterday's effort and performance.
