CERTIFICATE IV IN TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT (TAA40104)
Jagwa Forbes has developed quality assured courses to assist your staff in delivering cost-effective and structured in-house training. The new TAA40104 Certificate in Training and Assessment reflects your skills, your knowledge and your work. It aims to develop the next generation of trainers and assessors and to support the continuing work of current trainers and assessors. This qualification is comprised of 14 units of competence.
Jagwa Forbes has selected specific units from this qualification and grouped these into three separate cluster courses (1,2 and 3) to meet our specific industry client needs. Certificate IV TAA40104 applies to people for whom training is a major part of their job, or a full-time function within a structured assessment and training system. These people have considerable responsibility for training planning and delivery as well as the assessment of people in your workplace. A Jagwa Forbes experienced trainer will assist you to gain a nationally recognized qualification under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF).
Our new course under Cluster 1A suits people that instruct or train small groups and gather quality evidence for the assessor.
Cluster 1A - The Assistant Trainer
Two Units of Competence, including:
TAADEL301C Provide training through instructions & demonstration of work skills
TAAASS301B Contribute to assessment
Duration 3 days
Cost $600.00 per person
This course will suit individuals who are required to provide basic instructions and on-the-job training without having to develop the training materials. All documents needed to carry out this function will have been provided, including delivery plans, learning materials, learning programs, assessment and learning resources. It will also suit individuals whose job role requires them to deliver training and to assist assessors in gathering evidence. A Statement of Attainment will be issued to successful participants completing the course.
Cluster 1 - The Workplace Trainer
Five Units of Competence, including:
TAADEL401B Plan and organise group based delivery
TAADEL402B Facilitate group-based learning
TAADEL403B Facilitate Individual Learning
TAADEL404B Facilitate work-based learning
TAADEL301C Provide training through instruction and demonstration of work skills

Cluster 2 - The Workplace Assessor
Four Units of Competence, including:

TAAASS404B Participate in Assessment Validation

Not only will a workplace assessor coach staff in setting performance goals, she / he will also be able to provide timely feedback, accurately assess skills and monitor improved demonstration of work skills to agreed benchmarks.
This comprehensive course will provide you with the necessary knowledge and skills to plan, organize and assess progress in learning and judging whether competent performance within your organization has been demonstrated. Work-based projects are an integral part of this course and must be completed in order to receive the Statement of Attainment.
Cluster 3 - The Vocational Practitioner
Five Units of Competence, including:
TAAENV401A Work effectively in a vocational education and training
TAAENV402A Foster and promote an inclusive learning culture
TAAENV403A Ensure a healthy and safe learning environment
TAADES401A Use training packages to meet client needs
TAADES402A Design and develop learning programs
Duration 3 days
Cost $750.00 per person
This course will show you how to plan quality training programs for your organisation and how to work with and apply national and industry standards to meet client needs in a safe learning environment.
Course prerequisites
For entry into any of these courses, English language and literacy requirements include communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to write a range of documentation. Candidates must also be able to apply technology such as basic computer skills: produce documents, have access to a computer, and research and analyse information on-line. Some of these skills will be further developed throughout the courses.
Skills Recognition
Jagwa Forbes can assess your current competencies developed through prior learning, current industry and / or life experience towards attainment of the Certificate IV qualification. An assessment fee will apply which will vary according to each person's qualifications and experience.
Upgrading your current qualifications (Optional)
Persons possessing a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training (BSZ40198), who intend to upgrade their qualification to the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAA40104), may apply to complete the outstanding units providing they can demonstrate current competence in all of the units comprising the BSZ 40198 Cert IV (AWT) qualification.
