Emergency Management Workshops

 


Are your staff able to deal with emergency situations?


First on Scene (Workshop)

The workshop aims to provide participants with a definition and outline of the implications and the difficulties that may be encountered by persons who are first on scene at an emergency incident.

Participants will also learn the role of and interaction with emergency services that may attend the incident scene.

Components of the course are delivered by the police, fire and ambulance services.

Completion of this workshop should enable participants to:

* Be aware of attending emergency services roles and responsibilities
* Have a knowledge of legal implications in emergency situations
* Appreciate information gathering and assessment in the pre-planning process
* Understand the decision process likely to be required in response in the initial operation phase
* Be aware of probable handover requirements to responding agencies
* Have an understanding of after event process and reporting
