About JFG Commentary

From time to time we feel compelled to express our opinion on matters arising from our field of work and expertise. With an inherent belief in ‘Kaizen' - a Japanese term that means continuous improvement - we seek to critique events and trends in our fields of work and expertise. Some developments in emergency, safety and security justify criticism when we believe that all is not well. The JFG commentary motto in that regard is

"We do not wish to offend; but neither shall we pretend".

  • We develop forecasts and express our views based upon our studied perspectives of the issues at hand
  • We aim to help counter what we observe as potentially serious and harmful miss-steps in regulatory and enforcement policy and practice;
  • In this process we aim to look for and publish better options to help the industries we serve

The JFG commentary pages will feature commentary on local, national and global emergency, safety and security issues. Commentary publication may be triggered by our own research and encounters; by media reports; or by the persuasive influence of supporting acquaintances and site visitors. Check the topic titles on our home page for current commentary releases, and then just click to reach the applicable comentary piece, or click the "Commentary" link at the top of the page to view all commentary pages.
